Candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has polled 8,805,420 to lead the final collation of the election result by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The collation of results from the 36 states and Federal Capital Territory has been concluded by INEC.
In the final collation of the results the People Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakr polled 6,984,330 and Labour Party candidate Mr Oeter Obi polled 6,093,942.
An official announcement of winner of the election by the INEC chairman, Prof Mahmud Yakubu is being awaited.
