The Academic Excellence Initiative (AEI) organised a Youth Orientation Programme aimed at instilling discipline, moral values, and academic excellence among students in the society.
Speaking at the event, the executive director of AEI, Mr Faheed Olajide, and invited facilitators urged students to take their education seriously and remain focused on their studies, stressing that diligence and hard work are key to achieving success in life.
The guest speaker, Deputy Dean, Students Affairs, University of Lagos, Dr Ridwan AbdulGaniy, on the topic: Shaping the Future: How Education, Skills, and Innovation Prepare Students for the Modern Workforce, urged the students to embrace the new order of technological innovation in their studies.
Also speaking on the topic, Innovation, Creativity and Vocational Skills: Practical Pathways for Students to Build Future to Build Future-Ready Competence, a Human Resource Manager and Life Coach, Mr Abdullahi Davies
According to the organisers, the programme was designed to re-orient students on the importance of focusing on their studies and commitment to learning, especially in an era of growing distractions.
Mr Olajide reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to sustaining youth-focused programmes that promote education, discipline, and responsible citizenship within their communities.
The tutor general/permanent secretary, Education District VI, Mrs Mojisola Christaina Yusuf, represented by the Director of Co-Curricular Department, Mrs Folasade Osiyemi, applauded the organisers for a well-thought-out, life-changing seminar for the students.
In her goodwill message, Mrs Yusuf urged the students to make judicious use of the lessons learnt.
Students who attended the programme expressed appreciation for the initiative, describing it as timely and impactful. They pledged to apply the lessons learnt in their academic and personal lives.
