Anti-Drugs War: Otunba Almaroof-Oloyede Emerges NDLEA Ambassador

The council boss was amongst some other prominent Nigerians appointed ‘Anti-Drugs Ambassador’ by the Anti-Drugs agency at its Anti-Drugs Field Intelligence and Advocacy Agents Training in collaboration with the Eagle Crime Awareness and Prevention Initiative, ECAPI, held at the Oshodi-Isolo local government secretariat on Thursday.

Otunba Almaroof-Oloyede, represented by Hon. Ajoke Onitolo, Deputy Leader of the Oshodi-Isolo local government legislative arm, while giving his keynote address urged the anti-drug agency to extend its advocacy to both primary and secondary schools within the state.

The council boss emphasised the importance of early advocacy against drugs for the younger generations.

He also urged the agency to extend its advocacy and sensitisation activities to the parents as well to engage them on the need to sensitise their children against hard drugs.

Otunba Almaroof-Oloyede, while receiving the ambassadorial award, from the Lagos State Commander of the NDLEA, Abubakar Liman Wali, thanked the agency for finding him worthy of the award and assured of propagating the advocacy on anti-drug within his council’s jurisdiction.
