Apapa LG Chairman, Senbanjo Distributes Food Palliative to residents, Commends Sanwo-Olu

The residents who went for the palliative were full of excitement and delight as they went home with various food packs including rice, beans and cassava flake (garri)

The Executive Chairman of the Local Government, Hon Idowu Adejumoke Senbanjo while distributing the food palliative on Saturday thanked the state governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the palliative.

The council chair in her speech hinted that giving of paliative is a social responsibility of every responsive government to its citizens especially in harsh times as this, stressing that the gesture was made possible through the directive and resources made available by His Excellency the Governor of Lagos State, Sanwo-Olu and aimed at alleviating the burden of the harsh economy on the most vulnerable.

She said; “In times of hardship and uncertainty, it is heartwarming to see our leaders coming together to provide support and assistance to those in need. Through the distribution of these food palliatives, we aim to alleviate the burden on the most vulnerable members of our community and ensure that no one goes hungry during these challenging times.”

Senbanjo further admonished residents to spread kindness and compassion, to look out for one another, and to continue supporting each other during difficult times as she stressed the significants of lifting others up and the importance of collaborative efforts in overcoming challenging times.

Hon. Senbanjo who has made it a routine to give out palliative at intervals, not just food but also cash, again commended Governor Sanwo-Olu for his unwavering determination to bring relief to the residents and commended the residents for their support for her administration as she reiterated her commitment to the welfare and wellbeing of the people.

Other stakeholders, present at the food distribution included Secretary to the Local Government (SLG), Councilors, Supervisors, SSA’s, Management staff, Community leaders and Resident members.
