Apapa Local Government has held its annual Christmas Carol Service.
The annual event was held with pageant, worship and praises at the council secretariat on Friday in conjunction with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Apapa chapter.
The carol service with the theme “Faithful and True” resonates the essence of the Christmas season as all reflected on the teachings of the season.
The council chairman Hon Idowu Adejumoke Senbajo who led members of her cabinet, staff members, politicians and others to the venue of the carol service urged all to reflect and emulate the teachings of Jesus Christ in their daily activities.
The council boss revealed that the collaboration between the CAN and the council contributed immensely to the success of the event, saying it fosters unity and community spirit.
The event saw a diverse gathering, including Apapa youths, members of the Christian community, Political leaders in Apapa, and dedicated council staff members among others.
The choir group of the council CAN spiced up the occasion. They thrilled guests to melodious songs, worship and praise songs.
Attendees were treated to enchanting performances, inspiring renditions, hymns, and special activities to make the occasion livelier.
The pageantry of the occasion was cumulated with the creative and intentional integration of the theme, “Faithful and True,” into the fabric of the program, reminding everyone of the core values of the season.
“The Christmas Carol Service was a resounding success, bringing joy and unity to the community. The event not only celebrated the festive season but also emphasized the importance of being “Faithful and True” in our interactions with one another,” the council boss said.
