APC Oke-Afa ward welcomes Adebanwo into partyIt was a carnival like on Friday for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at Oke Afa ward of Ejigbo local council development area (LCDA), as party leaders and executives at the ward level welcome a new member, Mr Idowu Adebanwo, into the party.

The APC chairman of the council, Alhaji Fatai Kasumu led other leaders and executives to welcome Mr Adebanwo into the party with joy and excitement at Jakande Estate.

Alhaji Kasumu represented by Chief John Obafemi accepted the new entrant officially into the party along other leaders and members.

He urged him to uphold the tenets and principles of the party at all times.

The party leader prayed for his success on his new choosing part of political journey.

Pastor Ademola Oduntan, a leader of the party at the Oke Afa ward also welcomed Mr Adebanwo into the party describing him as a responsible and dedicated youth.

He said; “I am happy he choose to join our party, he is a son whom I have known for many years in the Estate, he has no blemishes in his character, he is a responsible and dedicated youth, I am glad welcoming him to our party. As we accept and welcome him, I pray for God’s divine direction for him as he embark on this new journey in his political life.”

The Oke Afa ward chairman of the party, Mr Oluwaseun Dejo who introduced Mr Adebanwo to the leaders and executives of the party praised his courage to joining hands with the APC in Oke Afa to bring development to the community and state at large.

Dejo said his coming into the party will bring more positive developments to their community and party at large.

Speaking on his joining the ruling APC, Mr Adebanwo said he has watched and observed with keen interest the activities of the party over the years and he was pleased tonasdsociate with it hence his decision to become a member of the party.

He said; “It is true that I am not based in Nigeria but I have always watch online and on the television activities of political parties, I found that of the APC more interesting and admiring, I am 0leased with their activities, i could see that they are all inclusive and national party hence the reason I decided to pint my tent with the party. I have been a member for a very long time but today, undecided to make it official.”

Adding; “I see this as my way of contributing to my community, though I have always do that, I have in the past organised free medical checks for our people in the community, i have also done many other things for the community, so my joining the party will further help me in contributing more to the community and Lagos state at large.”

The APC enthusiast said he would remain loyal, committed and dedicated to the party principles and ethos saying he understands what it means to be a member of a political party hence his mind is made to remain APC member and commit to its rules and regulation.

Adebanwo also said he will work assiduously for the party that will make more youths in the Oke Afa axis of the party to join it.

Former councillor of Oke Afa ward, Alhaja Fausat Muritala congratulated Adebanwo on his choice of the APC saying he has made the right chioce.

She encouraged him to be patient and dedicated as he joins the ruling party saying good things await him ahead if he commits himself fully as he promised to the party.

The Ejigbo LCDA Supervisor for women affairs and poverty alleviation, Mr Olufemi Ibine join others in welcoming Mr Adebanwo into the party as he wish him a successful journey in his political journey.
