The National Moon Sighting Committe has said there is no positive sighting of the new moon on Thursday.
This was stated in the twitter handle of the committee which is saddled with the responsibility of searching the moon.
The statement reads: “So far reports received from Bauchi, Nafada (Gombe State), Maiduguri, Abuja, Dengi (Plateau) State), Odeomu (Osun State) are all negative. What about in your area?” -National Moon Sighting Committe.
As at the time of filling this report there is no official statement from the sultan of Sokoto and President of the Nigeria Supreme Council of Nigeria, Alhaji Saad Abubakar.
