The executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government has congratulated the Christians on the occasion of Easter Sunday, wishing them a happy and prosperous celebration just as he reaffirmed his determination to continue developmental projects for the residents.
The council boss, while felicitating with the Christian faithful, urged emulation of Jesus Christ and adherence to the doctrine of the Holy God as embedded in the Holy Bible.
Oloyede acknowledged the 40-day lenten that accumulated into the celebration of Easter Sunday. The sanctity of the period, he said, must be sustained for continued peace and progress within the community.
The council boss said just as Jesus Christ overcame adversities upon him, he prayed that Almighty God would make everyone overcome all known and perceived adversities in their life.
He also prayed that God take Nigeria out of its current adversities and make peace reign forever in Oshodi-Isolo local government, Lagos State, and Nigeria as a whole.
