… Urges faithful to imbibe virtues of Ramadan
The executive executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede has felicitated with the Muslim faithful on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Fitri celebration.
Oloyede enjoined the muslim faithful to imbibe the virtues and teachings of the blessed month of Ramadan in their life.
The council boss, said Ramadan has come to reform the self and the society at large in ensuring a peaceful and morally upright society; these teachings among others he urged their sustenance.
Oloyede, while congratulating the Muslims, urged the youths to avoid all acts inimical to their future saying they should seize the various skills acquisition programme the council has been and will continue to embark upon, for their self sustenance and financial independent.
He said: “I on behalf of the people of Oshodi-Isolo local government congratulate the Muslim faithful on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Fitri celebrations. It is true that Ramadan has come and gone but its teachings remain forever, these should be imbibed by all. We should continue to uphold moral rectitudness as preached by Ramadan.
All the virtuous acts engaged in during the blessed month of Ramadan that guarantees peaceful coexistence should be maintained and sustained for a more peaceful society.
As a government we will continue to make available skills acquisition programmes and empowerment for our youths, we encourage them to make use of these opportunities to better their future. We encourage them to shuk all acts of frivolities and detrimental to their progress in future.”
