Eid-el-Kabir: Oshodi-Isolo council chair, Oloyede congratulates muslims

… Urges selflessness, sacrifice, peaceful coexistence

Oshodi-Isolo local government chairman, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede has felicitated with the Muslim faithfuls on the occasion of the 2023/1444 Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.

Oloyede while felicitating the Muslim Ummah urged them to imbibe the teachings of the prophet Ibrahim, whom is regarded as father of faith, as regards selflessness, sacrifice and peaceful coexistence among neigbhours.

The council boss said the Eid-el-Kabir celebration calls for sober reflections as the origin was from sore to success for prophet Ibrahim as Allah replaced his only son whom he wanted to use for sacrifice as commanded by Allah but due to his obedience to Him, the son was replaced with a ram.

He said: “I heartily congratulate and felicitate with the Muslim Umaah across the local government, Lagos state and Nigeria as a whole on the auspicious occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
As we celebrate the eid, I want to urge our people to do it within limits set by Allah as exemplified by His prophet. Let’s celebrate with moderacy, let’s sacrifice more for the unity and peace of our nation which is most dear to us. The obedience exemplified by prophet Ibrahim which gave us reason for celebration today must be the primary focus of every Nigerian to ensure national growth and development.”

I pray for Allah’s blessings on you as this blessed celebration continues and always”.

The council helmsman reassured the residents of continued and reinvigorated drive for infrastructural developmental projects within the council area.

The council Boss equally used the opportunity to urge Nigerians to continue to support the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu
