House of Reps Candidate, Wale Ahmed Lauds COMWA on Grassroots Mobilisation

A Federal House of Representatives candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Agege Federal Constituency, Lagos, Hon. (Dr) Wale Ahmed, has lauded a Muslim women support group on their grassroots mobilisation ahead of the general elections.

Addressing at a courtesy visit by the Agege chapter of the Muslim support group under the aegis of Coalition of Muslim Women for Asiwaju (COMWA), Hon. Wale Ahmed praised the women for their active roles in mobilising support for him and other APC aspirants for the coming elections.

He encouraged the women to continue with their sensitization on all the female folks at the grassroots level, giving assurance that he will always be available to support them.

According to Hon. Ahmed; “it is a good development that you women are playing active roles in politics, so I encouraged you all to be proactive in your respective wards.

Speaking on their visit, the Agege coordinator of COMWA, Mordiyyah Muna-Badru said the aim was to charge the APC Agege Federal Constituency flagbearer on good governance and adequate representation of the constituency at the Federal level.

“Our visit is to converse with him on good governance, leadership, and a good representative for Agege federal constituency”

“If he gets elected he should be a replica of Asiwaju that we COMWA, are a support group for. We plan to give him support to win the election,” she stated.

COMWA is a coalition of Muslim women in the country who drive support for APC presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the presidential race.
