It was early in the morning at the assembly ground where the AEI Oshodi Unit delighted the students with presentation of free exercise books to hundreds of them and presented text books, dictionaries and other educational materials to the school’s library.

Led by its Project Officer, Mr Sulaiman AbdulQadri, the Academic Excellence Initiative Oshodi unit, stormed the school with the books as a welcome back to school pack for the students.

Mr AbdulQadri who addressed the elated students disclosed that the AEI is carrying out the exercise in fulfilment of its mandate of promoting academic excellence among the youths.

The Project Officer said the donation of the text books and exercise books will not stop at that as they have plans to further engage the students in preparing them for their coming West African Senior Secondary School Examination (WASSCE) with the aim of making them perform exceedingly well in the exams.

He said: “The donation of books to the students and school is in fulfilment of our core objective in making sure students are aided and equipped with writing materials to make them excel in their academic sojourn. It is also in a bid to encourage reading culture and academic excellence.”

The school’s vice principal, Mr Yekini, who received the AEI members commended them for their support for the students and school.

He thanked the AEI for their kind gesture praying Almighty God bless them for the gifts and in their effort at making sure the students have writing materials for the new session.

The School’s head, Taofik Tobi also appreciated the AEI for the books donation.
