The National Executive Council, NEC, meeting of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, will hold on 24 July, 2025, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party has said.
The meeting is summoned by the NEC to enable it nominate a new national chairman, following the resignation of former chairman Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje last Friday.
In the interim, Deputy National Chairman (North), Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori, was appointed as Acting National Chairman and formally assumed office on Monday.
Speaking to reporters after an emergency NWC meeting at the party’s national secretariat, Deputy National Secretary, Barrister Festus Fuanter, confirmed the NEC meeting date and said a formal notice has already been sent to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
