Lagos 114 Roads: Apapa LG Boss, Senbanjo holds stakeholders meeting

The local government has earmarked for construction, Central Avenue Apapa, this project is part of the Lagos 114 roads funded by the local government and local council development areas across the state.

The Council boss Hon Senbanjo while addressing the gathering at the stakeholders meeting called for residents’ cooperation with the contractor to ensure smooth and timely delivery of the road within the stipulated time frame of 6 months and she vouched for the pedigree of the Construction company judging from projects handled by the company in the past.

Emphasising the reason for the stakeholders meeting, Hon Senbanjo said it is to ensure inclusiveness in government as exemplified by the Lagos State Government and replicated by the local government.

The council boss said the road when completed will further boost the economic activities of the LG and serves as alternatives to other roads within the council.

The Head of Project of Pedamoni Construction Nigeria Limited, the construction company to handle the project, Mr. Nicolas Abarga assured the government and residents of delivering a standard road within the time frame of the project.

The Community Development Committee (CDC) Chairman Mr. Adebiyi Nathaniel expressed delight at the choice of Central Avenue saying it is strategic and expressed that it will be an addition to the road networks in the LG when completed.

Mr. Adebiyi urged residents to always maintain public properties as it belong to them.

The bidding process that saw Padamoni Construction Nigerian Limited as the winner of the bid took place some weeks ago at the council premises in line with standard best practices.

Major stakeholders of the port city council, as well as party leaders, technocrats, traditional leaders, clergy men, market women, heads of artisan groups, men of the press, and enthusiast residents all graced the event.
