Lagos Commissioner Nominee, Rotimi-Akodu Congratulates Tinubu as Tribunal Affirms Victory

A Lagos State Commissioner nominee, Kunle Rotimi-Akodu has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his landmark victory at the presidential election petition tribunal.

Tinubu was affirmed the winner of the February 25 presidential election after a-5-man election petition members of the bench striked out petitions before it in Abuja on Wednesday.

The petitioners, presidential candidates of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Gregory Obi and Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar have dragged the All Progressives Congress candidate, Tinubu in the February 25 elections before their lordships seeking nullification the election results.

Rotimi-Akodu could not hide his joy as the PEPT affirmed the electoral victory of President Tinubu after hours of thorough judicial processes.

The commissioner nominee who was glued to his television, aptly followed the procedings and was relieved after the 12 hours procedings came to a victorious end for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Rotimi-Akodu laud the judiciary for their thorough and painstaking job and for being resolute and not succumbing to fear or intimidation.

He said; “it is with great joy and high sense of relieve that I congratulate our father, leader and president Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the affirmation of his election victory by the PEPT in Abuja. I am super excited that after long hours of election tribunal judicial process, their lordships affirmed the election victory of our party.

This victory affirms that Tinubu is truly loved and duly elected by Nigerians. I congratulate him once again and our party for the victory.

I commend the judiciary for being painstaking and thorough in their decisions, they resisted intimidations and refused to succumb to blackmail by the opposition parties. This victory is victory for democracy.”
