The Lagos state deputy governor, Dr Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat has commissioned Ansar-ud-Deen society of Nigeria, Akoka branch multimillion naira ultra modern hospital.
Hamzat while commissioning the project on Friday lauded the Akoka branch of the society for building such hospital saying it will ease health care burdens within the community and the state at large.
The deputy governor charged other religious bodies and charity organisations to emulate the Ansarudeen, Akoka branch for the feat.
He described the effort of the AUD as a right step in the right direction saying government alone can not do it, urging other well to do Nigerians to come on board to assist the government in its effort in ameliorating citizens challenges on health even as he said the government is working round the clock to make assess to health service easy for all and affordable.
The Akoka branch chairman, Alhaji Bashir Lawal said the hospital will serve the interest of generality of persons within amd outside the Akoka community.
He said; “It is a thing of joy that 26 years after the establishment of Akoka branch and precisely 20 years of the operation of the branch as an organ of the Lagos State Council of the society, the branch has been able to blaze the trail by bequeathing unto humanity an ultra modern hospital designed to take care of the health needs of Muslims and non-Muslims within and beyond Akoka community.”
Speaking on maintaining and managing the edifice, the chairman said all efforts will be put in place to ensure adequate management and maintainance of the hospital.
Chairman of the occasion, Dr Adebola Ismail Akindele appreciated the giant stride of the branch in putting in place the hospital to serve humanity.
The CEO of Courtville Business Solutions Plc, who has given lion donation to the building of the hopsital assured the society of his continued support.
