A chairmanship candidate for the Lagos State chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Comrade Ibrahim Olalekan Adigun has assured youths of fair and just representation of elected chairman in the coming election.
Adigun made this assurance while declaring his intention to contest the exalted youth position in the state at the Odi-Olowo/ Ojuwoye local council development area on Thursday.
The chairmanship candidate said his emergence as chairman will give the youths across the state a voice on all sphere of activities.
He also promised to lead by example by being a model to all sundry. Saying he will work hands in hand with relevant stakeholders in the youth sector to ensure every youth gets equal opportunity for self growth and development.
Adigun said he will keh into the Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s THEMES + agenda to empower youth with different skills and creating much more enabling environment for self sustainance of the youths.
Giving his manifesto, Adigun listed out three pints agenda upon which his administration will be built. He said Professionalism, Productivity and publicity are the hallmark of his administration.
He said; “My modest aspiration for the Lagos State chairmanship is founded on a crystal vision for an empowered and united youth community, committed to Professionalism, productivity and better positioning as encapsulated in my P3 agenda which form my social contract with the youths.
“One of the pillars of my agenda will be the promotion of professionalism within our activities, we will ensure that our administrative actions reflect accountability, proficiency and effectiveness. We will set standards that will elevate our state chapter as a model of excellence for other chapters across the country.”
“My administration will create entrepreneur opportunities for our members, promoting self reliance, enhancing human capacity development and contribute to nation building in the economic sector and others.”
“We will work tirelessly and diligently to ensure that the dissenting voices and public interest of our youth members are heard loud and clear and would be considered in the decision making processes.”
