There are pockets of protests around some communities in Lagos on Friday.
The protests were staged against the scarcity of naira being experienced by the citizens across the country.
Areas, where the protests erupted include Ojota, Ketu, Mile12, and Sabo in Ikorodu area of Lagos.
Others are at Iyana Ipaja, Agege, and Alimosho among others where burn fires and roadblocks pervaded the areas.
The Bliss News also gathered that the Mowe Ibafo, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ogun state is also witnessing pockets of protest as the major road has been blocked from motorists by some angry protesters.
The Lagos state police command public relations officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin has however said the officers of the command have taken over the areas and peace has returned.
“Free movement of vehicles and people fully restored. Our officers and men are still on ground to prevent any breakdown of law and order,” Hundeyin tweeted.
