… appoints Oshodi-Isolo Council Vice chair, Aregbe-Badmus as grand matron
The Nigerian Women Development Initiative (NWDI) Oshodi-Isolo local government chapter has inaugurated its executives.
The inauguration ceremony was held at the Pa Olabintan Marriage Registry of the Oshodi-Isolo local government on Monday.
The council’s vice chairman, Mrs Islamiyah Modupe Aregbe-Badmus was inaugurated as grand matron of the association in the local government.
The head of legal department of the council administered the oath of office on her as grandmatron of NWDI. Aregbe-Badmus who graciously sworn to the oath of office assured the organization of her unwavering support for the growth and development of every member.
She said; “I thank you for this honour bestowed on me, I want to assure you of my support and that of the council chairman as I have met with him and discuss this initiative with him and he welcomed it with assurances of continued support for the women folk.”
Other executive members of the organization also took turn to take their oath of office. They affirmed their readiness to work assiduolsy for the development of the female gender.
In her welcome address earlier coordinator of the association, Hon Bukky Lawal thanked the members of the executive for believing in the project saying its mission is to elevate women out of poverty through business grants.
She urged them to remain resolute in the course of bringing succour to the women in the society.
NWDI is a woman focused organization with central focus on given business grants and supports to women folk to boost their various businesses.
