… Passes vote of no confidence on state chairman
Forum of local branches coordinator of the Lagos chapter of the National Youth Council Nigeria (NYCN) have elected new executives to steer the affairs of the forum for the next one year.
The Forum of local branches coordinators is an arm of the state chapter where coordinators of all local branches meet to deliberate on issues and make decisions as it affect the NYCN.
In view of this, the body at its extraordinary coordinators meeting on Friday elected new executives to spare head the union and ensure its standing root remained firm in taking them to greater heights.
At the end of its election of the forum, Comrade Muibi Ibrahim from Epe local branch and Lagos East Senatorial district emerged as chairman; Comrade Babatunde Yusuf, Coordinator Alimosho local branch, Lagos West Senatorial District emerged the Secretary while Comrade Oshodi John Ayodele, Coordinator Itire-Ikate local branch from Lagos Central Senatorial District emerged as Public Relations Officer.
Speaking on the mandate before him, the new Coordinator of Forum of Coordinators, Comrade Muibi said he will work assiduously to bring end to the crisis rocking the state youth chapter.
Muibi said the purported removal of the then acting Coordinator of Coordinators of the forum Comrade Akibu Sikiru (aka Zinko), is an abuse of power by the state chairman, Biliamin Oba who among others were said to have removed the acting Coordinator of the forum,
For this, the group said they passed a vote of no confidence on the Oba led administration.
