Oshodi-Isolo Council Chair, Oloyede receives Law School First Class Graduate, Awards her Scholarship to Canada

The executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede has received an Oshodi born who made the local government proud with her academic achievement, Barr. Salaudeen Silifat Arike in his office as he awarded her a scholarship to Canada.

It would be recalled that Silifat who made first class in the Nigerian Law Schol final examination was been celebrated by the council chairman last week.

While receiving her, Otunba Oloyede expressed his happiness on the feat she achieved, noting that her achievements is an inspiration to everyone in Oshodi. He stressed that Oshodi is a fertile land full of talents both in academics and other areas. He recalled that not too long ago, Bolade Junior Secondary school won the ‘Best Schol’ in Nigeria. Also, pupils of Monsuru-Agoro Memorial Pry School won first position in Jet’s Club Competition in Lagos and they represented the Lagos state at the national competition where they came third.

The council chairman made logistics arrangements for the first class lawyer for her travelling to Abuja for her call to the bar on Friday.

He said; “I am delighted to receive you and your mom in my office today. The news of your academic feat came to me with happiness because I know Oshodi is blessed with many talents. We shall make arrangements for your Abuja trip to receive your award at the law school and when you return, we shall properly host you to serve as motivation to our students. We shall also give you scholarship to continue your studies in Canada and I’m sure with this, your potential will be further unveiled. Congratulations.”

An elated Silifat thanked the council chairman for his benevolence as she promised to make the best use of the rare opportunity and continue to make the council proud.
