As muslims across the globe celebrates the birthday of holy prophet Muhammad (SAW) the Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government has congratulated all muslims in the local government for witnessing year 2023 Maolud Nabbiy.
The council chairman in a press release issued by his media office in Wednesday congratulated muslim brothers and sisters on this occasion, stressing that the humble life and teachings of the holy prophet be emulated by all.
He equally called on the muslim community to continue to pray for the progress and development of the country as only in a prosperous community that peace can reign.
Otunba Oloyede while, congratulating the muslims, assured that his administration will continue on the path of providing more infrastructural amenities for the residents as he appealed to all continue to support his administration in his drive to continue to make dividends of democracy beneficial to all.
He commended the muslim community in the local government for their peaceful conduct, urging continuation of such virtuous act and promised his administration will continue to support them.
He said; “let me on behalf of the Executive, Legislative arm and management of our great council to congratulate our muslim brothers and sisters on the occasion of the year 2023 Maolud Nabbiy celebration, which signifies the birthday day of our holy prophet Muhammad, let’s continue to imbibe his teachings and humility at all times. As a government, we shall continue to appeal for peaceful coexistence in our local government for progress and development, as we have always being working assiduously to sustain the relative peace being enjoyed in the council.”
“Let me seize this occasion to assure our people that more dividends of democracy will be made available for the benefit of all citizens, we just flagged off our back to school free educational material distribution exercise, we will go to the 31 public primary schools in our council to give each of the pupils free bags, exercise books and other writing materials. We have concluded plans to hit the ground running in schools rehabilitation and reconstruction where need be, we shall not rest on our oars until we have more conducive learning environment for our pupils.”
