… Council Boss dedicates award to Seyi Tinubu, Residents
It was indeed a luxury event at the Nicon Luxury hotel in Abuja as it made host to guests, awardees and organisers of the prestigious and luxury award of the Bureau of Public Service Reforms, the Presidency office, as they gathered to appreciate public servants in the award ceremony tagged “Nigeria Govtech Award” in recognition of their contributions to the development of the country.
The Nigeria Govtech Award which cut across the 36 states and 774 local governments of the federation saw the Oshodi-Isolo local government chairman Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede clinching the Digital Local Government award of the year.
The beautifully decorated and expanse hall was filled as governors, ministers, senators other lawmakers, federal ministries and MDAs gathered in their numbers to honour giants strides of the individuals in their various fields.
Oloyede who stood out as the best in the 774 local governments of the federation was presented the Digital Local Government award amidst accolades in further recognition of his giant strides in providing infrastructure and empowering the youths on digital and soft skills.
The organisers eulogised the council chairman for his unrelenting efforts in promoting good governance at the grassroot.
The Council Chairman, who has been delivering on his campaign promises especially his giant strides in infrastructure, was elated to have been singled out for the award, the only local government so recognised across the 774 local governments in Nigeria, which is a testimony that his impactful projects are being monitored across the country.
At the award presentation, the council boss expressed appreciation to the organizers of the award, while he dedicated it to God Almighty for the privilege to be alive to serve the humanity, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for the opportunity given him to serve.
He singled out the President’s son, Mr. Seyi Tinubu for his support and encouragement in the journey so far.
He described Mr. Tinubu as a solid rock behind him and his administration, who is a great believer in good governance and accountable leadership.
Speaking on the side line of the event at Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja, he posited that the organizers did a great job with the array of awardees at the event which include Governors, Deputy Governors, senators, ministers and Federal agencies, stressing that the award which cut across party lines is a confirmation of the objectivity of the awards.
The council honcho assured that he will continue to strive and ensure that he impacts his society to justify the confidence reposed in him, by electing him as their chairman.
He commended the residents of Oshodi-Isolo for their belief in him and their firm support for his administration assuring that more dividends of democracy will get across the wards within the council as he dedicated the award to them.
Otunba Oloyede also commended members of his management team for the support so far and enjoin them to continue to cooperate with him to ensure that the people feel the impact of the government.
The Council Chairman was joined at the occasion by his ever loyal Vice Chairman, Hon. Modupe Badmus-Aregbe, Chairman of the party, Hon. Saheed Animashahun, the leader of the legislative house, Hon. Rasheed Obasa, Secretary to the local government, Hon. Smart Akinleye, Hon. Ige Adega, the chief of staff, Hon. Leke Banjoko, Super for Environment, Hon Femi Ajayi, Special Advisers on Civic Engagement, Hon Joke Onitolo, ICT Hon Tobi Salako and Chief Press Secretary, Comrade Gbenga Soloki.
