Oshodi-Isolo Council Chairman, Oloyede Reshuffles Cabinet

… charges executive members to be innovative, deliver or be relieved of appointment

The reshuffling, according to the council chairman is aimed at putting the people first, improve response time and ensure prompt service delivery to the teeming residents of the council.

Oloyede said the cabinet rejig is meant to ensure all hands are on deck in the provision of basic social amenities to the members of the public.

In a release made available by his media office, the change of portfolio affects five members of the cabinet viz:

  1. Hon. Gideon Balagun is now transferred to Education as Special Adviser from his previous portfolio on Revenue Matters
  2. Hon. Abiodun Mamora has now been transferred to Youth and Sports as Supervisor from his previous portfolio of Chieftaincy Matters
  3. Hon. Ajoke Onitolo has now been transferred to Civic Engagement as Special Adviser from her previous portfolio of Education.
  4. Hon. Jakande Olusegun is now Supervisor for Chieftaincy Matters from his previous portfolio of Youth and Sports.
  5. Hon. Obafemi Olamilekan is now Super on Revenue Matters from his previous portfolio of Civic Engagement

According to the council honcho, the reshuffling takes immediate effect and the affected members are directed to handover appropriate files to their successors for optimal performance.

The council chairman further charges the affected members and indeed the entire cabinet members to be steadfast in their duties, stressing that they all should be innovative and initiate programmes that would better the living standards of the people.

He said any member found wanting in his post will be sacked in accordance to the rules of engagement.

He said; “In our desire to ensure good governance at all levels, we have redeployed five of our supervisors to the departments where they will further serve our people. The redeployment takes immediate effect.
This development is meant to ensure we deliver more as we have been doing on our promises to the people in ensuring even infrastructural development in our dear local government.

“I charge every member of this cabinet to be innovative and initiate programmes that would improve the living standards of our people.”

“We will not hesitate to sack any non performing cabinet member in accordance to the rules of engagement, as you do not have any excuse not to perform optimally in your various departments.”
