The Oshodi-Isolo local government chairman, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede has expressed shock over the unfortunate train and BRT bus accident that occurs on Thursday morning at PWD Shogunle, Oshodi Lagos where six people were reported dead and many others injured.
The BRT bus which was conveying members of staff of the Lagos State civil servants rammed into the moving train.
The council chairman condoled with the victims families and the Lagos state government over the accident.
He called on well meaning Nigerians to support the injured victims who are in need of blood at various hospitals in the state by donating blood to them for their survival.
Oloyede thanked Nigerians who responded to the victims as first responders to safe their lives on the spot of the scene, saying such spirit of brotherhood is commendable.
He prayed for the repose of the souls of the victims and quick recovery of the injured ones.
He said: “it came to us as a rude shock the news of the train BRT bus collision accident leading to killing of six people with several others injured on Thursday morning. We are devastated with this unfortunate incident. We condole with the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the families of the vitcims and pray that may God repose the souls the dead and grant quick recovery to the injured ones.
We are appealing to well meaning Nigerians to please donate blood to the hopsitals where these victims are for their treatment.”
