Oshodi-Isolo LG sets to roll out mega palliative for residents, empowerment of traders, SMEs

Oshodi-Isolo Local Government area of Lagos State under the able chairman, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede has perfected plans to roll out palliative to the residents of tehe council.

The mega palliative distribution is scheduled for Wednedsay 23 at the open field of the council by 10am.

The palliatives distribution is a way of cushioning the effects of economic challenges occasioned by the fuel subsidy removal on the residents.

Otunba Oloyede in a press release by his media office disclosed that the local government has concluded plans to distribute thousands of packages of food items to residents and also distribute #30,000 cash as financial support to small scale business owners within the local government.

Residents were enjoyed to make themselves available for the relief support from the local government.

Items to be shared in addition to the #30,000 cash support include packaged rice, beans, garri, tubers of yam, macaroni, noddles, groundut oil, Maggie, salt, sugar, plantain and crates of eggs.

The council chairman appreciated the patience of the people and implored them to make themselves available.

He further disclosed that the distribution will be done without political, religious or ethnic bias.

He said; “I am pleased to inform our people that arrangements have been perfected for the distribution of #30,000 financial support to 500 traders and small scale business owners and distribution of food items palliative to thousands of residents. I firstly, want to appreciate the patience of our people while the planning arrangements were ongoing. I appreciate their support and words of encouragement.

Now that we have concluded our plans, I implore them to make themselves available to get the items we have made available for them. As a government, we shall continue to put the welfare and well-being of our people first.”
