Nigeria’s Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, and Lagos state governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu will grace the HealthCare Federation of Nigeria Conference in the centre of excellence.
The annual conference of the group with the theme; “Building the Healthcare of Our Future” will take place on February 3 and 4, 2023.
The 2023 HFN Annual Conference will address a number of issues affecting Nigeria’s healthcare ecosystem, including monetary policy tightening and unpredictability, human resource depletion throughout the healthcare ecosystem and value chain, and insufficient funding for healthcare.
According to HFN, the conference also seeks to win the support of stakeholders for effective sector repositioning through the targeted application of the Agreed Framework of Action.
A roundtable panel session of the HFN EXCO with editors of the print, electronic, and social media in the health sector will be held after the speeches and panel discussions, which will be presented in six segments. This will be followed by the HFN’s annual general meeting and election.
Chairman of the Senate Committee on Health, Sen. (Dr.) Ibrahim Oloriegbe will make legislative remarks after the minister of health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire, declares the conference open.
Other dignitaries expected at the conference included Minister of Finance, Budget, and National Planning Dr. Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed.
Goodwill messages are anticipated from the UN Secretary-General, Mr. António Guterres, the Director-General of the World Health Organization, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, and Aminu Tambuwal, the Governor of Sokoto State and the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum.
