Osolo of Isolo, Oba Agbabiaka joins ancestors

The death of one of the high grade monarchs in Lagos state was announced on Wednesday by the chairman of Isolo local council development area, Adeayo Olasoju.

Olasoju while announcing the passing of the king commiserated with the family and entire Isolo kingdom praying that Alla grant him eternal rest.
He said; “I have the instruction of the Executive Governor of Lagos state, His Excellency, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu to formally announce the passing of the paramount ruler of Isolo Kingdom, Oba Kabiru Alani Adelaja Agbabiaka, Adeola Olushi III, today 10th April, 2024.”_

Also in a statement by the media office of the executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede has mourned the demise of the royal father.

Oloyede described the demise of the Oba as shocking and totally unbelievable”, particularly in a crucial time like this when his wealth of experience, skills and native intelligence are mostly needed.”

He said; “I received the sad news of the departure of our king and royal father, HRM Oba Kabiru Alani Agbabiaka, The Osolo of Isolo with heavy heart and sorrowful mind. Kabiyesi was an embodiment of wisdom and fatherly traits to all and sundry.

My heartfelt condolence goes to the entire decedants of Osolo both home and abroad for the untimely departure of the king. Rest in peace Kabiyesi.”
Otunba Oloyede commiserated with the entire immediate family, Osolo kingdom, both home and abroad and the council of chieftaincy for the painful departure of the monarch and prayed Allah grant him aljana firdaous.

The monarch has been buried in his palace in accordance to Islamic rites.
