Over A thousand Residents Benefit from Oshodi-Isolo Council Chairman’s Festive Rice, Cash Gifts

There was joy and excitement in Oshodi on Friday as the executive chairman of the Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede feted the aged, youths, disabled, women and other residents of the council with festive rice and cash gifts to celebrate the season.

No fewer than a thousand residents benefited from the council chairman’s rice and cash gifts benevolence on Friday to celebrate the new year as they receive the gifts with joy overflowing their faces.

Oloyede while presenting the bags of rice and cash gifts to the residents at the legislative building hall of the local government, prayed for the successful celebration of the new year and assured them that the coming year will be fruitful as more dividends of democracy will be delivered to the people.

The council boss seized the occasion to appeal resident to go all out to get their PVCs to enable them vote for the candidates of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the coming general elections.

He said; “this is our token to you for this festive period. We will continue to do more for our people, your welfare remain our priority, we will never relent in our strides to bring more dividends of democracy to your door steps.

As we approach the election year, the only way to help our administration and keep enjoying dividends of democracy is to vote for all our candidates and to do this, I urge you all to go out and collect your PVCs to enable you vote for all our candidates in the coming general elections.”

A jubilant resident, Mr. Kunle Ayo who received the 5kg bag of rice and a 5,000 gift appreciated the council chairman.

He said; “this is the first time I will be receiving this type of gift from a seating council chairman, I am very delighted for this benevolence, may God bless this chairman.”
