… Enjoins Nigerians to believe in his vision
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Ambassador Abayomi Nurain Mumuni has enjoined President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to pick the best people in his team as ministers, advisers and heads of various agencies.
Mumuni who was a member of Security and Intelligence Committee of Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council, noted that this is necessary for the new administration to move the country forward.
The former gubernatorial candidate of the defunct Congress for Progressives Change (CPC) called on Nigerians to rally support for Tinubu, urging them to believe in his vision of the Renewed Hope for Nigeria.
According to him, “I have confidence that Asiwaju Tinubu will not disappoint Nigerians being an experienced politician and astute administrator who has been in the political system for so long.
“He is the kind of leader we need in this country. The leader that is strong politically and administratively savvy. With Tinubu’s exposure, education, background and network, I believe that his administration will be a huge success for the entire Nigerians.
“He has great minds with him right from inception. He is a great mentor who has mentored so many great leaders. Hence, Nigerian masses should believe in his vision of Renewed Hope for Nigeria.
“Tinubu has a strong economic and security team that can find lasting solutions to the issue of insecurity and inflation and hike in the prices of commodities”.
Mumuni expressed confidence in Tinubu’s ability, saying Asiwaju will not disappoint Nigerians, being an experienced politician who has been in the political arena for so long.
He therefore advised the former Lagos State governor to put the round peg in a round hole by appointing the best brains as ministers and advisers.
The renowned security expert and author said this will help the new President to achieve his aims in all areas of human endeavours.
“So, for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu he’s not starting on ground zero. He only needs to build on these legacies.
Inclusive government and internal democracy
The APC stalwart noted that Asiwaju has always emphasised he would run an inclusive government and will be fair to all irrespective of religious, tribal and partisan persuasions. He said the present situation presents the new president an ample opportunity to move the country forward and heal the nation.
“I want to urge Mr. President to pick the best among those who are his team. The patriotic and qualified ones with the interest of Nigeria at heart.
Ambassador Mumuni said the president has the important task of uniting aggrieved members of the APC back to the fold, just as he needs to appease those who kicked against the Muslim-Muslim ticket as well as those who felt slighted with the position of the party on the National Assembly leadership; saying, as a party, we must continue to forge a united front always.
“Asiwaju Tinubu should also remember that the formation of the ruling APC is the amalgamation of progressives political parties.
The capable ones should be given opportunity to serve the country with their exposure and expertise. He should embrace these tendency”.
The party chieftain expressed his strong belief in the efficacy of the president’s vision and blueprint for the country, stressing that Nigeria will be a lot better place to live.
Ambassador Mumuni formally congratulated Asiwaju on his inauguration and wished him a successful tenure in office.
