The Nigeria police force has condemn an attack on its officers by members of the public.
A woman traffic police officer was seen been assaulted by a member of the public while on duty.
In a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi on Monday, 26 February fumed and condemned the public assault saying the force will not tolerate such acts as perpetrators will be prosecuted in law court.
Adejobi described such acts by members of the public as an act of lawlessness, unpatriotic and absurdity.
The statement reads; “It is an act of lawlessness, unpatriotism, and absurdity, as well as an affront to the law to assault or attack Police Officers on uniform or while on duty on mufti.
Such cases will never be ignored or swept under the carpet. It’s a disservice to the nation, and it’s so embarrassing.”
