There was joy and excitement in the faces of many indigent Muslims in Lagos on Thursday as a non governmental organisation, New Crescent Charity fetes them with Ramadan food packages.
The relief package according to one of the board of directors of the organisation, Dr Sulaiman Ogunmuyiwa, is meant to bring succour and joy to the indigent Muslims during the month of Ramadan.
Ogunmuyiwa said New Crescent Charity remains committed to improved welfare of the people especially atbtgus take of fasting in making them heaonsigh of relief.
New Crescent Charity, Dr Ogunmuyiwa said will not relent in its efforts at always making relief packages for the indigent in the society.
He said; “we thank Allah for yet another success of our annual Ramadan relief package for indigent Muslims, this is not the first time we are doing this, this year however is special because over 300 benefited from our largeese across three locations in Lagos state. We will not relent in our effort at ensuring that indigent Nigerians are not neglected.
We will increase number of beneficiaries in our subsequent Ramadan relief package to ensure that more families benefit.”
An excited beneficiary, Waheed Jimoh said he remains eternally grateful to the organisation for their large heart at this time of scarcity. He prayed for Allah’s help on the organisers.
