Lagos state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has sworn in new commissioners and special advisers with their assigned portfolios.
Olakunle Rotimi-Akodu was sworn in as Special Adviser on Environment at the inauguration ceremony held at Adeyemi Bero Auditorium on Wednesday.
The secretary to the state government, Mrs Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin administered the oath of office and swearing ceremony which brought the 37 commissioners and special advisers in as members of the state executive council.
The elated commissioners and Special Advisers promised to discharged their duties with utmost diligent and resilience in line with the THEMES agenda of governor Sanwo-Olu.
Rotimi-Akodu who is a former supervisor for education and environment and sanitation services is a graduate of University of Ilorin.
He holds a B.Eng in Agricultural Engineering, University of Illorin, Master in Environmental Management (MEM) and another Master in Public Administration (MPA), both from the prestigious University of Lagos (UNILAG).
The UNILAG graduate until his appointment was the general secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Ikoyi Obalende local council development area.
Rotimi-Akodu is a member of the Nigerian Environmental Society (NES) and member of the Society for Environmental Toxicology & Pollution Mitigation (SETPOM).
He is a consummate administrator and strategic thinker who has held various positions of trust in both public and private sectors.
He is extensively experienced in Environmental Auditing and Management, transport, traffic and logistics management, legislative and executive relations as well as general administration.
