So-Safe Corps Nab Two Middle-Aged Beninese For Kidnapping

It was end of the road of kidnapping and human trafficking for two Benin Republic citizens as the Ogun state paramilitary agency, Social Orientation and Safety Corps (So-Safe Corps) apprehended them on Monday.

According to the agency, two suspected abductors were trying to elope with underage female abductee through the Republic of Benin Border.

Disclosing this to newsmen in Abeokuta, Ogun state, the State Commander of the agency, Commander (Dr) Soji Ganzallo through the Director of Information and Public Relations of the agency, Assistant Commander Moruf Yusuf said that the Special Patrol team of the agency on routine patrol led by the Idiroko Divisional Officer CSC Abdulkareem Abdulrazaq in the border area suspected the movement of the suspects, Moye Kazeem 25 Years old and Moye Kokuyi 20 years old and they were trailed until their arrest.

Yusuf said the suspects were questioned but they both failed to provide a convincing answers.

He said; “The female abductee Okechukwu Felicia 16 years old, a resident of Ajuwon Akute in Ifo Local Government Area who was interrogated as well could not establish what was really going on and the true position of the suspects.

Ganzallo said that during preliminary investigation of the matter, it was gathered that the suspects had been declared wanted for the same offense they were arrested for at Akute Ajuwon Divisional Police Headquarter.

Ganzallo further revealed that the suspects were apprehended at Iyana-Ago trying to cross to the Republic of Benin.

Ganzallo noted that the suspects and the victim together with a Bajaj motorcycle were handed over to the Nigeria Police Ajuwon Divisional Headquarters through Inspectors Sunday Abah and Sami Loris who came to pick them for further investigation and likely prosecution.
