Standout Private School, a nursery and primary school in Oshodi held its annual Ramadan public lecture on Wednesday with pomp.
At the Ramadan lecture, parents, teachers, and students were urged to seek Allah’s mercy and blessings at all times.
Speaking on the topic, ‘Attaining Allah’s Mercy and Blessings in Ramadan and Beyond’, Ustaz Luqman Shomoye emphasized the importance of seeking Allah’s mercy in the month of Ramadan and beyond.
Ustaz Shomoye said for anyone to receive the blessings and mercy of Allah, they must abide by His injunctions at all times.
The Islamic scholar urged all to avoid sins, especially associating partners with Allah, saying this is a major sin and that if anyone engages in it, he will not receive the mercy of Allah until he repents from it.
To receive Allah’s mercy and blessing, Sheikh Shomoye said all must avoid abhorring evils against one another.
He also said good neighborliness should be sustained if anyone wants to receive the blessings of Allah
The lecturer also said family ties must be maintained to guarantee blessing from Allah.
The proprietress of the school, Hajiah Fausiyah Adeleke, speaking at the event, thanked Allah for yet another successful Ramadan lecture.
Mrs. Adeleke asked pupils, parents, and all and sundry to take the lessons learned from the lecture and abide by them at all times.
The proprietress said Standout Private School will continue to uphold the tenets of the religion in preparing the pupils for the future.
At Standout Private Schools, Mrs Adeleke said the annual Ramadan lecture is a legacy that will be sustained even in the years to come.
The school pupils entertained guests and parents with poems recitation, 99 names of Allah and Qur’an galore to the admiration of all.
Pupils, parents, and guests were treated to an iftar meal as a way of seeking Allah’s blessings and mercy.
