An Islamic scholar, Sheikh AbdulGaniy Ibrahim Ijewoli has urged students to be obedient to their parents.
Speaking as a guest lecturer at the annual Ramadan lecture of Kingdom of Knowledge Schools (KOK) on Thursday at the school premises on Sunmonu Street, Oshodi, Ijewoli told the students that obedience to parents remains the key to success.
He told them not to disobey their parents’ instructions at all times.

The Islamic cleric said after believing in Allah and obedience to Him, the next are the parents.
He said; “be obedient to Allah, this is the first you must do, then to your parents. Remember that your paradise lies under the feet of your parents, ensure you always do good to them. Pray for them, be quick in responding to their calls, and go errands for them; this way, you will receive their blessings, and above all, Allah will bless you, and you will become His beloved.”


The annual KOK Ramadan lecture had in attendance parents, guests, friends, and family members. They were all treated to sumptuous iftar.
The proprietress, Hajiah Latifat Oloyinde Olalekan thanked all guests and parents for their time.

She urged the students to remain obedient to their partners as she said KOK schools will continue to nurture the students on the importance of obedience to parents as well as other aspects of life as the school is comprehensive in knowledge impacting.
