The new moon of Shawwal 1446AH has been sighted in Nigeria.
Sultan of Sokoto and President General of Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, to give details in his official announcement shortly.
A member of the moonsghting committee in Nigeria Simwal on his X handle said on Saturday; “I just had a conversation with a committee member at the palace who confirmed there is a positive sighting report, and His Eminence will issue an announcement soon. Eid Mubarak”.
Expectedly the sultan will make an official announcement soon.
