… Says teachers are nation builders
As the world celebrates this year’s World Teachers Day, the executive chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede has commended teachers across the world, particularly those domiciled within the council area.
The council boss while congratulating the teachers for witnessing another world teachers day, appreciated their efforts in shaping and moulding the future leaders.
Teachers, Oloyede said are nation builders.
The chairman’s good will message to the teachers was contained in a release issued by his media office where he acknowledged that the dual roles of education and teachers are pivotal towards building a sustainable and virile nation.
The council chairman disclosed that he knows the importance of education, hence his concerted efforts towards providing conducive learning environment for pupils through reconstruction and rehabilitation of schools, provision of educational gadgets, writing materials, summer coaching classes, distribution of free Jamb and GCE forms and scholarships to various residents and provision of school bus for convening the students to and fro school.
He promised to continue his efforts at providing more conducive learning environment for pupils and the teachers that will promote education in the council area.
The council honcho urged the teachers to continue their roles as nation builders through their teaching and impact on the pupils, promising them of continued government support.
