Oshodi-Isolo local government residents will sing songs of joy in celebrating the Yuletide as the council chairman, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede (Kendoo) has perfected plans to share 5kg bags of rice, chickens to them.
Otunba Oloyede in a press release by his media office the distribution of rice and chickens will cut across all wards of the council.
Aside the wards within the council, the statement revealed that different ethnic groups, religious bodies, community development committee (CDC), traders, artisans, people living with disabilities, youth associations, market men and women among others will massively benefit from the council’s largesse.
This gesture is in continuation of Kendoo’s welfarism package for the teeming residents and extension of love message and kindness to the residents this Yuletide season.
Recall that since the emergence of Otunba Oloyede as the council helmsman, it has become customary to always reach out to the residents during festive seasons and off seasons.
This yuletide season is surely not going to be an exception as residents will again have a feel of the compassionate chairman.
In addition to the aforementioned in the distribution categories, the distribution train of the chairman will also be doing a house-to-house distribution to cater for people not captured in the above list.
The house to house will focus more on the aged, pregnant women and people with disabilities among others.
As the council chairman plans to share the goodies, he also extend his seasons greetings to the residents.
He said: “seasons greetings to our esteem residents of Oshodi-Isolo local government. In continuation of our custom and in a bid to continue to put smile on our peoples face, we shall be distributing rice and chicken in the spirit of the festivities.
“We have identified various groups of people that we will be reaching out to. We shall also do a house to house distribution in order to capture our aged, pregnant women and people living with disabilities. This is not our first time and it shall surely not be the last.”
